WHAT IS

Customized Employment

Customized Employment (CE) is a flexible, individualized approach to employment for people with disabilities. It starts with discovery—uncovering a person’s strengths, interests, and ideal conditions for success—and ends with a job that works for both the employee and the employer.

Why Fidelity Matters

Fidelity means doing Customized Employment the right way. It’s the difference between checking a box and changing a life. 


When CE is implemented with fidelity:

  • Individuals receive consistent, effective, and efficient support

  • Employers hire with confidence

  • Providers improve outcomes

  • Systems can measure and replicate success

 

Without fidelity, CE can lose its effectiveness. That’s where NCEFC comes in—providing the structure, training, and support to keep best practices on track.
